My comment was deleted, it was about my journey after witnessing 9 months of a genocide in Gaza... I guess the creators of this content are living in a lot of fear and maybe actually don't really know what they're talking about since a simple comment about my journey and witnessing immense suffering has been deleted. I did not understand, if as you postulate in 38:43 there is choosing after awakening and the 'I' is not choosing, then who is choosing?

Having just read two books by Jill Bolt Taylor, who is a brain scientist, and who suffered a stroke which took the left hemisphere of her brain off-line. Her experience of perceiving the world via her right brain, to me, sounds very much like what people are talking about here, and the different spiritual or religious experiences in general. Could this be less of a spiritual/religious phenomenon and more a case of people turning off their left brain hemisphere for a moment and letting themselves have a more purely right brain hemisphere experience?

Some very good statements. But while watching this episode and its predecessor, a nagging feeling arose: Enlightenment seems to be something to talk about in the upper parts of a well-off western society. Look at the status symbols: scarfs, desks, beautiful houses, training centres. Trips to spiritual places. For me, this whole ego-shedding and having contact with life again seems to be something more subtle and unspectacular. You know, chop wood, make tea ;)

Suffering is a dualistic term. If suffering ceases so does its opposite, dual, state of non-suffering. All states that we can know if, suffering, happiness, love, hate, me, you, individuality, collectiveness, being separate, being One, all these concepts will cease.
